Project Family Car

  • Provides cars to families making the transition from welfare to work
  • ATI refurbishes donated cars - generally at a cost of around $800
  • Participating families apply for a car loan to cover the costs of refurbishing the car
  • The loans also serve to help families build or repair credit history

Car Care Clinics

  • ATI provides Car Care Clinics to families who receive cars
  • The goal is to teach the families how to maintain their car and ensure that the car stays on the road

Short-Term Training

  • ATI provides Short-Term Training for individuals interested in gaining skills in auto mechanical repair
  • Through the use of mentors, participants learn skills in mechanical and auto body repair
  • The purpose of this mentor training is to help participants gain confidence and learning skills before moving on to an accredited training program
